When Leandro Ederono fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GUSESI's protests and gave Leandro Ederono a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of All Boys 22 booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Ederono didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yngve Uggla in the 24th minute of play. After 26 minutes GUSESI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Walter Heggert who took care of the corner kick. 26 minutes into the game, All Boys 22's Eloy Oihan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thibaut Courtois made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. All Boys 22's Ezequiel Fresco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Tonete in the 28th minute of play. GUSESI's Thibaut Courtois proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save GUSESI from getting a goal against them. All Boys 22's Ezequiel Fresco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Nascimento in the 31st minute of play. After the first half GUSESI were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
With a little luck, All Boys 22's Ezequiel Fresco got control of the ball when Tobias Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. 52 minutes into the match, All Boys 22's goalkeeper Ezequiel Fresco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Tonete. Ezequiel Fresco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Tobias Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ezequiel Fresco made a huge save. After 93 played minutes, All Boys 22's Walter Heggert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in All Boys 22 reached it. When the final whistle sounded GUSESI left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than All Boys 22.
