In the 8th minute, Leonard Chirculescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paralia Athens fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Breno Costa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Wanderson Simão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgil Olariu was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Unai Herrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wanderson Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Virgil Olariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unai Herrera charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Unai Herrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Unai Herrera. Virgil Olariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Wallmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Burak Özdoğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Costel Neagoe. After 41 minutes of play, Sandinense ADF's Hubert Wallmark made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgil Olariu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Burak Özdoğan in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgil Olariu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Costel Neagoe. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Burak Özdoğan to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sandinense ADF booed when Paralia Athens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costel Neagoe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Juvenal da Rocha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgil Olariu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Paralia Athens from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hubert Wallmark got free with Virgil Olariu in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the game, Agostinho Moura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paralia Athens's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sandinense ADF the free kick. 67 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Wallmark came free, but Virgil Olariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Leonard Chirculescu made a precise shot to the right of Breno Costa. Sandinense ADF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 71 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Virgil Olariu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Burak Özdoğan. Sandinense ADF's Burak Özdoğan pulled a muscle in his back after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Sandinense ADF's Egídio Vale was substituted for Burak Özdoğan. After 74 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Manolescu. Luca Tomozei kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 82 minutes of play Paralia Athens's Unai Herrera was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 83 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Unai Herrera. After a defensive mix-up in Paralia Athens's zone, Juvenal da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgil Olariu came out of the goal and Juvenal da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egídio Vale got free with Virgil Olariu in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sandinense ADF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sílvio Luiz Tasso in the 87th minute. Egídio Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sandinense ADF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
