The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigel Apăvăloaie got free with Fabian Arendarski in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavius Ferenț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Biskupiak in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Biskupiak in the 18th minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Flavius Ferenț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Duran Mukerrem was substituted for István Hoffman. Fabian Arendarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Cunea in the 81st minute of play. Jânio Ramos hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When Rasnita's Alex Cunea in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Many of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie may have spent more time on the ball, but Rasnita were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
