Spectators: 7563 (Terracing: 5673, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ryszard Pilipiec started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Sergiu Cheptene got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bograngen's Dewa Gol in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalie prevented a goal. Gilbert Podolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dewa Gol in the 22nd minute of play. Gabriel Cordero's late challenge caught a Pogoń Stawiszyn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Cordero helped the player get up and apologised. Dewa Gol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gilbert Podolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radoslaw Trojanowski kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Gilbert Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dewa Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Dewa Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Podolski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. If Sergiu Cheptene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pogoń Stawiszyn booed when Bograngen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erland Stenqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Dewa Gol made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Bograngen's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Pilipiec came free, but Cláudio-André Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Dewa Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Podolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cláudio-André Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radoslaw Trojanowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio-André Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kazimierz Dylla in the 60th minute of the match. Bograngen's Cláudio-André Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoslaw Trojanowski in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute of the match, Jimmie Ek tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilbert Podolski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gilbert Podolski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dewa Gol in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Bograngen got a corner. Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sven-Olof Eklund ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cláudio-André Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoslaw Trojanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewa Gol in the 85th minute of play forced Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes Pogoń Stawiszyn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven-Olof Eklund who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Sven-Olof Eklund got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilbert Podolski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Bograngen getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Min Hero hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Lech Gmoch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 minutes, Lech Gmoch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pogoń Stawiszyn and the Bograngen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Lech Gmoch got a free kick in the 96th minute.
