But to his dismay, Ryszard Pilipiec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Nardo in the 26th minute of play forced Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Spams's Carolo Nardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilbert Podolski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gilbert Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Nardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carolo Nardo 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Alessandro Scalia hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Spams's Tin Delgado was substituted for Edgar Tscherner. Gilbert Podolski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tin Delgado's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Tin Delgado notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski. Gilbert Podolski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gilbert Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tin Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Julian Kossakowski's late challenge caught a Spams's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Spams were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Pogoń Stawiszyn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alfredo Mino took the corner. Spams's Faustino Jerold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Pilipiec in the 78th minute of play.
