Gabon Salantes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mansour Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Mansour Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elorri Uruñuela in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Galeno Bacete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cresitobalo Rilo got free with Mansour Buffon in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Elorri Uruñuela had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Evaristo Palacios fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventus FC's protests and gave Evaristo Palacios a yellow card for diving instead. Evaristo Palacios kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Ismael Llantada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sabino Marrero made a kick off. Cusco FC's Maria Coronado quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Evaristo Palacios, made in the 74th minute of the game. In the 75th minute Cresitobalo Rilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mansour Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Macias Pantoja got free with Johan Schönberg in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cusco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cresitobalo Rilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Larra Turrilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mansour Buffon having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cresitobalo Rilo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mansour Buffon was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
