When Jerry Dhanabalan came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Real Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerry Dhanabalan couldn't finish the play. Miro Rohrer came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Juniors's Ahmet Efe Suheyl. But to his dismay, Ahmet Efe Suheyl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Miro Rohrer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Efe Suheyl, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Efe Suheyl in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miro Rohrer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miro Rohrer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Efe Suheyl in the 15th minute of play. Miro Rohrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Efe Suheyl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorian Moraes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Paez in the 20th minute of play forced Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miro Rohrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Efe Suheyl in the 21st minute of the match. Miro Rohrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Efe Suheyl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes, Ahmet Efe Suheyl made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Aguirres's Miro Rohrer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute Severino Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute Aguirres were awarded a corner. Severino Ihazintu went to the cornerflag to take it. Luisito Liher was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Efe Suheyl to make the kick off. Alisson Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Moraes in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Paez in the 57th minute of play forced Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miro Rohrer made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Roland Redondo sent off a good shot on target. Alisson Becker didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Aguirres's Dorian Moraes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 81st minute of the match, Sebastian Kazczyk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miro Rohrer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Brock Friend fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alisson Becker having to interfere. The supporters of Real Juniors booed when Aguirres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brock Friend didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Orkatz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ahmet Efe Suheyls short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Miro Rohrer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
