After a rather tough play, BlueLionesse's Isak Sundberg got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Octavian Isărescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olo Kahn having to make a save. BlueLionesse's Ilie Crainic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save BlueLionesse from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute of the match, Gabriel Redondo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ilie Crainic saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to C.D. Ciudad de Soria getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Teodoro Zamora hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, C.D. Ciudad de Soria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Santalla to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Ramond Landa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Gabriel Redondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Crainic was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The C.D. Ciudad de Soria supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.D. Ciudad de Soria would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
