The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulinho Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Primo Sans sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 12 minutes, Primo Sans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia B.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Primo Sans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Primo Sans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Saldanha having to make a save. Primo Sans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Squadra Demarchi's goal looked a bit too open when Primo Sans came free, but Oscar Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Squadra Demarchi defense, Primo Sans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Saldanha. The Squadra Demarchi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Saldanha should have stopped the shot. Oscar Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Primo Sans sent off a good shot on target. Primo Sans struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Oscar Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia B.F.. When Academia B.F.'s Primo Sans in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Squadra Demarchi's goalie prevented a goal. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Squadra Demarchi from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primo Sans got free with Oscar Saldanha in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Primo Sans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Primo Sans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Oscar Saldanha made a huge save. Primo Sans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st match minute, Squadra Demarchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. After 54 minutes, Primo Sans made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Squadra Demarchi getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Nelson Vidal hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Meirelles. Oscar Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Primo Sans went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primo Sans in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Cemil Acarbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Academia B.F.'s Michel Totti was substituted for Primo Sans. After a rather tough play, Academia B.F.'s Cemil Acarbay got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Michel Totti came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Academia B.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Totti couldn't finish the play. Nelson Vidal made in the 83rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Júnior Meirelles immediately put the ball in play. If Michel Totti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Totti in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Michel Totti made a precise shot to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Squadra Demarchi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. There was no doubt that Academia B.F. were the better team. Academia B.F.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
