Ianis Man's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Pardini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Octavian Soare was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Biagio Scoca capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Biagio Scoca really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Alvaro Pardini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Li, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Alvaro Pardini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Li in the 15th minute of play. Biagio Scoca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Octavian Soare made a huge save. Shi Li might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Pardini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shi Li ran back to his position shaking his head. The Galati Harbour Cats fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Octavian Soare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Biagio Scoca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Foot Ball Club di Roma were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Galati Harbour Cats's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ettore Scarcella took the corner. The corner led Foot Ball Club di Roma's Ettore Scarcella to fire away a dangerous shot which Octavian Soare despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute Gheorghe Ducu suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Ianis Man struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Alvaro Pardini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galati Harbour Cats. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shi Li stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Biagio Scoca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55thth minute of the game Shi Li who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Foot Ball Club di Roma's Alvaro Pardini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Foot Ball Club di Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Ianis Man came free, but Alvaro Pardini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niccolo Zaniolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Soare having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Li got free with Alvaro Pardini in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shi Li's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alvaro Pardini firmly grabbed it by the left post. Biagio Scoca hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Biagio Scoca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sven-Åke Ré fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galati Harbour Cats's protests and gave Sven-Åke Ré a yellow card for diving instead. Sven-Åke Ré kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Alvaro Pardini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shi Li went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Li got free with Alvaro Pardini in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shi Li could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Alvaro Pardini made a huge save. When Sven-Åke Ré was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biagio Scoca in the 92nd minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Foot Ball Club di Roma's Biagio Scoca in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galati Harbour Cats's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Foot Ball Club di Roma's Gianluca Mancini got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galati Harbour Cats had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
