Giuseppe de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Metapalo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giuseppe de Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Santo Amaro AC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Giuseppe de Alcântara hit a great ball. Dante Rafe took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hudson Arósio. Hudson Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Metapalo FC's Gavino Belarmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Polozov in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Eduard Polozov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santo Amaro AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 26th minute, Dante Rafe made a precise shot to the right of Hudson Arósio. Santo Amaro AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some careless play in the Santo Amaro AC defense, Dante Rafe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hudson Arósio. The Santo Amaro AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hudson Arósio should have stopped the shot. Dante Rafe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Hudson Arósio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gavino Belarmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wincent Pawlik's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Gavino Belarmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Batista in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Negroni to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santo Amaro AC's goalkeeper Hudson Arósio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Humberto Rodrigues almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio did a great save. Hudson Arósio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dante Rafe's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 60 minutes of play, Metapalo FC's Dante Rafe made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hudson Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 72 minutes into the match, Santo Amaro AC's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Negroni came free, but Hudson Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hudson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 85th minute Dante Rafe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Negroni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Hudson Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Hermes hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Toto Fabri kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute Valentin Negroni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valentin Negroni came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Metapalo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Negroni couldn't finish the play. Santo Amaro AC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
