Gökalp Rakim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Hudson Arósio made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, Carlos Eduardo Marquez notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Nusaybin GençLikSpor's Serdar Ulualp. A wasted opportunity for Santo Amaro AC. Serdar Ulualp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincent Pawlik in the 23rd minute of play. Kong Jun Ying who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Hudson Arósio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökalp Rakim in the 29th minute of play forced Santo Amaro AC's goalkeeper Hudson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kong Jun Ying got free with Hudson Arósio in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nusaybin GençLikSpor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wincent Pawlik was slow to take the kick. During this time Santo Amaro AC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Raí Bezerra managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Nusaybin GençLikSpor's Gazanfer Cevval got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 40 played minutes Santo Amaro AC got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Martins. With a little luck, Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio got control of the ball when Gökalp Rakim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Alberto Batista hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santo Amaro AC's zone, Kong Jun Ying stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hudson Arósio came out of the goal and Kong Jun Ying tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Santo Amaro AC from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, Santo Amaro AC's goalkeeper Hudson Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kong Jun Ying. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 minutes, Gökalp Rakim made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, Bülent Turgay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hudson Arósio came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Nusaybin GençLikSpor's Kong Jun Ying. But to his dismay, Kong Jun Ying quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 71 played minutes Nusaybin GençLikSpor got a freekick which was hit by Kong Jun Ying. In the 75thth minute of the game Gökalp Rakim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hudson Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kong Jun Ying, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nusaybin GençLikSpor's Serdar Ulualp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Nusaybin GençLikSpor from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Santo Amaro AC's Cipriano Hermes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serdar Ulualp. That made the score 3-3 after 83 minutes of play. During the 85th minute of the match Bülent Turgay completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bülent Turgay a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Santo Amaro AC booed when Nusaybin GençLikSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bülent Turgay didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Arósio in the 89th minute of play forced Nusaybin GençLikSpor's goalkeeper Serdar Ulualp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Amaro AC's Giuseppe de Alcântara was substituted for Zé Roberto Machado. Hudson Arósio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kong Jun Ying went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Santo Amaro AC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
