The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cezary Jajecznica got free with Elder Cardoso in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elder Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Plech, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Mateo Phelipe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Sergipano in the 9th minute of play. Leonard Brack did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Elder Cardoso 10 minutes into the match. Romeu de Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Phelipe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Romeu de Godoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Phelipe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cezary Jajecznica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Elder Cardoso made a huge save.
