But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Herensuge couldn't finish the play. Aydemir Okyar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedykt Pawelczyk went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Andrzej Juskowiak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ludomir Jarocewicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vilma Palma's goalkeeper Ludomir Jarocewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Santiago Frisco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Aydemir Okyar made a huge save.
