The supporters of Sagene IF booed when Berni y Benja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Strazzabosco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kärim Benzine charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kärim Benzine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sagene IF's Glyn Wedlock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kärim Benzine in the 37th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hans-Kristian Aanes to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Arce in the 54th minute of play forced Sagene IF's goalkeeper Glyn Wedlock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Edgardo Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Glyn Wedlock. Sagene IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Kärim Benzine kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Torstein Solli struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Amancio Videl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sagene IF. Berni y Benja FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kärim Benzine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kärim Benzine took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Glyn Wedlock. Glyn Wedlock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans-Kristian Aanes during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Glyn Wedlock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Boni went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Berni y Benja FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
