The referee ignored Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's protests and gave Lorenzo Mesanović a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Lorenzo Mesanović hit a great ball. Eric Gary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Nebbia in the 36th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Nebbia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Gary having to make a save. Aníbal Berger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélio Donatello in the 41st minute. Carlos Alberto Nebbia kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Eric Gary showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos García, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Aníbal Berger came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Jagiellonia Denver's Hélio Donatello. But to his dismay, Hélio Donatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Čačak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Nebbia in the 51st minute of play forced Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cacá Čačak struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Aníbal Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jagiellonia Denver.
