In the 2nd match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Suarez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Urbano in the 3rd minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Monclús could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Silverio Corderun made a huge save. In the 8thth minute of the game Waldir Urbano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A nice corner shot did that Edward Bubczyk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Branislav Velchevski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 12 minutes, Waldir Urbano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tasso FC and the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Waldir Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Monclús in the 19th minute of play forced Tasso FC's goalkeeper Silverio Corderun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Monclús came free, but Silverio Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Waldir Urbano made a precise shot to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Silverio Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Monclús in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute, André Monclús left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Waldir Urbano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Branislav Velchevski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Urbano came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldir Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Branislav Velchevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Waldir Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Tasso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Urbano couldn't finish the play. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Branislav Velchevski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waldir Urbano went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldir Urbano to make the kick off. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Silverio Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Monclús in the 57th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, André Monclús ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silverio Corderun was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Tasso FC's Waldir Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldir Urbano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Branislav Velchevski having to make a save. Branislav Velchevski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldir Urbano in the 66th minute. Waldir Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branislav Velchevski having to interfere. Tasso FC's Juca Tasso was substituted for Miguel Sequeira. In the 73rd minute Normando Fiúza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Tasso FC defense, André Monclús kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silverio Corderun. The Tasso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silverio Corderun should have stopped the shot. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Tasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pinto Valer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Esteban Iztal went to the cornerflag to take it. 88 minutes into the game, Normando Fiúza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Branislav Velchevski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Branislav Velchevski made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Normando Fiúza sent off a good shot on target. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Berkin Dilsafa was slow to take the kick. During this time Tasso FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Berkin Dilsafa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski did a great save. Silverio Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Monclús in the 94th minute of play. Normando Fiúza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Branislav Velchevski having to make a save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
