Terapia Intensiva's Otoniel Bonet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almantas Plungys in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Galo do Cerrado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almantas Plungys to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes of play, Galo do Cerrado's Beto dos Santos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivo Calado made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beto dos Santos in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otoniel Bonet saved Terapia Intensiva from getting behind. When Beto dos Santos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 62 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Otoniel Bonet was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Otoniel Bonet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beto dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The Terapia Intensiva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otoniel Bonet should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evelio Peli in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otoniel Bonet saved Terapia Intensiva from getting behind. Otoniel Bonet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto dos Santos in the 91st minute of play. If Beto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Calado in the 95th minute of play forced Galo do Cerrado's goalkeeper Vicente Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galo do Cerrado had won after a very even match.
