ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Aceto in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Calatafimi Segesta's Cesare Berardi got a free kick in the 11th minute. Olle Snell might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Buinton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olle Snell ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th minute Comunardo Monticelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Monclús in the 19th minute of play forced Calatafimi Segesta's goalkeeper Armando Buinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Buinton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Monclús in the 21st minute of the match. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando Aceto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Zacarias Osorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beppe Carrea might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Branislav Velchevski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beppe Carrea ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Monclús in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Buinton saved Calatafimi Segesta from getting behind. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Calatafimi Segesta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Esteban Iztal took the corner. The corner ended in Esteban Iztal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Calatafimi Segesta's Armando Buinton did a great save. Armando Buinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Monclús in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Calatafimi Segesta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Esteban Iztal was slow to take the kick. During this time ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's players had a chance to rest. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthony Muzzatti to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Anthony Muzzatti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Branislav Velchevski was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 71st minute Alexander Di Fabrizio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Carrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Concetto Spione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branislav Velchevski having to interfere. Branislav Velchevski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Di Fabrizio's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Rafael Dalmu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 93 minutes into the match, Calatafimi Segesta's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Carrillo came free, but Armando Buinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branislav Velchevski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Comunardo Monticelli in the 97th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Calatafimi Segesta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
