In the 20th minute NFC Eagles 22 were awarded a corner. Ted Jansen went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Joeri Donderwinkel managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joeri Donderwinkel in the 23rd minute of play forced Moodys IF's goalkeeper Azam Sum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciccio Tacconi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell-Arne Åberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Moodys IF's Erik Pettersson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciccio Tacconi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 31st minute Kjell-Arne Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Tacconi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciccio Tacconi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnabás Selymes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, 盛世 高文竞 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NFC Eagles 22 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raymond Schouten couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brian May to strike the kick off in the second half. Moodys IF's Azam Sum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 盛世 高文竞 in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Moodys IF's zone, 盛世 高文竞 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Azam Sum came out of the goal and 盛世 高文竞 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 盛世 高文竞 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Azam Sum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Moodys IF's goal looked a bit too open when 盛世 高文竞 came free, but Azam Sum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moodys IF:s Azam Sum showed great skill when he stopped Ted Jansen:s penalty. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moodys IF's goalkeeper Azam Sum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Azam Sum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 盛世 高文竞, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 75th minute, 盛世 高文竞 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After some careless play in the Moodys IF defense, 盛世 高文竞 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Azam Sum. The Moodys IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Azam Sum should have stopped the shot. NFC Eagles 22's Ciccio Tacconi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save NFC Eagles 22 from getting a goal against them. NFC Eagles 22's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
