The supporters of FC Fanaticii booed when Atlético Micaelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Fanaticii's Adrian Jitaru got a free kick in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Oanță threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Micaelense's Geraldo Madureira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. FC Fanaticii's Andrei Pavel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Palmiro Bettencourt in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Adrian Jitaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervásio Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match FC Fanaticii got a corner. Atlético Micaelense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aurelian Enișteanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Aurelian Enișteanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gervásio Sousa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Andrei Pavel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lu Chen, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Telmo Maia hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Andrei Pavel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marius Măgură in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervásio Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, FC Fanaticii's goal looked a bit too open when Palmiro Bettencourt came free, but Andrei Pavel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Lu Chen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrei Pavel. FC Fanaticii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lu Chen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marius Măgură took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervásio Sousa. Gervásio Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gervásio Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marius Măgură in the 46th minute.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Palmiro Bettencourt to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Fanaticii's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Lu Chen scored to the left of an out of position Andrei Pavel, making the score, 1-2. Klaus Van Mellart struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Andrei Pavel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Micaelense. In the 58th minute, Lu Chen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Andrei Pavel, passed just outside the right post. Andrei Pavel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmiro Bettencourt in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Andrei Pavel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lu Chen might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrei Pavel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lu Chen ran back to his position shaking his head. Andrei Pavel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lu Chen in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Palmiro Bettencourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Micaelense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Fanaticii the free kick.
