Palmiro Bettencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Madruga in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Azam Sum saved Moodys IF from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Moodys IF's goal looked a bit too open when Palmiro Bettencourt came free, but Azam Sum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's Palmiro Bettencourt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Azam Sum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Moodys IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabrício Coelho was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Micaelense's players had a chance to rest. Azam Sum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Madruga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Micaelense were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Moodys IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabrício Coelho took the corner. 29 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's Palmiro Bettencourt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Azam Sum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Palmiro Bettencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Azam Sum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Atlético Micaelense getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Vítor Águas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Åberg in the 39th minute of play forced Atlético Micaelense's goalkeeper Gervásio Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Klaus Van Mellart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Azam Sum had great luck who in the 46thth minute grab hold of the ball when Miguel Madruga from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Azam Sum was left in no man's land by his defense there! Åke Johansson made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Barnabás Selymes however managed to control. After some careless play in the Moodys IF defense, Miguel Madruga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Azam Sum. The Moodys IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Azam Sum should have stopped the shot. Azam Sum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmiro Bettencourt in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Moodys IF booed when Atlético Micaelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaus Van Mellart didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Johannes Tidén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrício Coelho made a great header on Atlético Micaelense's corner, it was just that Moodys IF's Azam Sum managed to reach the ball for a save. Moodys IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
