The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud Reinders in the 3rd minute of play forced Moodys IF's goalkeeper Azam Sum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Tudor Mihoc successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 6th minute Ruud Reinders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azam Sum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Barnabás Selymes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tudor Mihoc. The goal made the score 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Moodys IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sjaak Degens came free, but Azam Sum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azam Sum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjaak Degens, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a little luck, Buitenhout FC's Tudor Mihoc got control of the ball when Kjell-Arne Åberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Moodys IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud Reinders came free, but Azam Sum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azam Sum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferry Hebels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moodys IF's Azam Sum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferry Hebels in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferry Hebels in the 31st minute of play forced Moodys IF's goalkeeper Azam Sum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Buitenhout FC's Ruud Reinders in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brian May to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Buitenhout FC's Azam Sum threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ruud Reinders, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 54 minutes in the game Toni Schirring did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Hannibal Lecter. Toni Schirring charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toni Schirring the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Buitenhout FC's Toni Schirring got a free kick in the 57th minute. The supporters of Moodys IF booed when Buitenhout FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Fokkelman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sjaak Degens who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Azam Sum when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tudor Mihoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Åberg in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Iwo Wietrzychowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buitenhout FC and the Moodys IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Buitenhout FC made a substitution. Teodosio Johans replaced Sjaak Degens. After some careless play in the Buitenhout FC defense, Barnabás Selymes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tudor Mihoc. The Buitenhout FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tudor Mihoc should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute Barnabás Selymes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Mihoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Bo-Erik Högberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moodys IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. There was no doubt that Moodys IF were the better team. Moodys IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
