Primitivo Fernanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wit Lampa, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Primitivo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto De Nardis in the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Wit Lampa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Club Sicilia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Lampa in the 14th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Primitivo Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Fernanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Rucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolo Nuno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Sanna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvaro Sanna made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Ladislao Bertran sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Sporting Club Sicilia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bartolo Nuno made a kick off. In the 58th minute Wit Lampa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sporting Club Sicilia's Primitivo Fernanco threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wit Lampa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 71st minute Boca Juniors were awarded a corner. Orlando Lluques went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Orlando Lluques got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alvaro Sanna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bartolo Nuno kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Boca Juniors's Maximo Bordat was substituted for Bartolo Nuno. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Bartolo Nuno hit a great ball. Primitivo Fernanco was a little too slow when Concetto De Nardis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 82nd minute of the match, Concetto De Nardis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Primitivo Fernanco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Boca Juniors's Primitivo Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wit Lampa in the 85th minute of play. The Sporting Club Sicilia fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Sporting Club Sicilia's Wit Lampa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alvaro Sanna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Bordat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Lampa in the 94th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Primitivo Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting Club Sicilia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
