Spectators: 7620 (Terracing: 5716, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matias Bilintx started the match with the kick off. When Roger Magnusson came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the GrassNuts FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Magnusson couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as GrassNuts FC's Vitaliy van der Aa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Óscar Cordoba. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Bilintx in the 9th minute of play forced GrassNuts FC's goalkeeper Su Peng Jian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Óscar Cordoba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitaliy van der Aa in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute Diego Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Su Peng Jian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Maradona in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Su Peng Jian saved GrassNuts FC from getting behind. Aresti Montiel's late challenge caught a Sporting de Gijón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aresti Montiel helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes GrassNuts FC got a freekick which was hit by Aresti Montiel. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Bilintx in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Su Peng Jian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre-Emile Højbjerg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Su Peng Jian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saturnino Curcio's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Stenman came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Bernt Finnman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Maradona hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The supporters of GrassNuts FC booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Dominix didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Carlo Crema replaced Venancio Emesto. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitaliy van der Aa was the one to do the kick off. When Matias Bilintx came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitaliy van der Aa in the 58th minute of play. Vitaliy van der Aa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Óscar Cordoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Matias Bilintx made a precise shot to the right of Su Peng Jian. GrassNuts FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Su Peng Jian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Bilintx's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matias Bilintx got free with Su Peng Jian in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 73 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Curcio. Matias Bilintx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The corner was taken by Matias Bilintx in the 80th minute. Alejandro Rufo made a great header on Sporting de Gijón's corner, it was just that GrassNuts FC's Su Peng Jian managed to reach the ball for a save. 82 minutes into the game, Matias Bilintx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Su Peng Jian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Su Peng Jian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Bilintx in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Atilano Feo got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sporting de Gijón eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
