In the 6th minute Leal Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Nicolas Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leal Borges in the 7th minute of play. Adalberto Vianna hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Abílio Passos's late challenge caught a Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abílio Passos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 09's Abílio Passos got a free kick in the 15th minute. Falcão Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Falcão Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Falcão Marques made a precise shot to the right of Ivo Guterres. SC Freiburg 09's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ivo Guterres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Leal in the 31st minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Nicolas Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes Rondinone F.C - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Secco. Nicolas Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leal Borges took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolas Cardozo. Nicolas Cardozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Nicolas Cardozo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half SC Freiburg 09 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Falcão Marques to strike the kick off in the second half. Adalberto Vianna hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Nicolas Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leal Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led to SC Freiburg 09's Leal Borges getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. SC Freiburg 09's Abílio Passos came free and shot a quick shot against goal 57 minutes in the game, fortunately Nicolas Cardozo had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Nicolas Cardozo stood somewhat misplaced when Raul Leal came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 59 minute. 65 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Leal came free, but Nicolas Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, SC Freiburg 09's Raul Leal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolas Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Adalberto Vianna scored 2-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivo Guterres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of SC Freiburg 09 booed when Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes, Leal Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Freiburg 09 and the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes SC Freiburg 09 got a freekick which was hit by Leal Borges. Ivo Guterres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Cardozo came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 09's Abílio Passos. But to his dismay, Abílio Passos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. If Raul Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Rondinone F.C - FDFDF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Freiburg 09 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
