In the 14th minute Trevor Eubank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kayhan Tancan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by KUN SPORTS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christoph Van den Berch was slow to take the kick. During this time SK Mons's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Christoph Van den Berch almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KUN SPORTS's Kayhan Tancan did a great save. Kayhan Tancan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trevor Eubank's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute of the match SK Mons got a corner. KUN SPORTS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christoph Van den Berch ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of KUN SPORTS's goalie and right to Bogumil Czapski. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. KUN SPORTS's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kayhan Tancan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogumil Czapski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, SK Mons's Gust Van Dijck seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gust Van Dijck the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SK Mons protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gust Van Dijck had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, SK Mons's Gust Van Dijck got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SK Mons's zone, Egídio Passos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Connor Osmond came out of the goal and Egídio Passos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bogumil Czapski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kayhan Tancan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KUN SPORTS's Kayhan Tancan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trevor Eubank in the 33rd minute of play. Kayhan Tancan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trevor Eubank's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The wind increased when Abdika Borbon made the kick off in the second half. If Bogumil Czapski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bogumil Czapski struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Kayhan Tancan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Mons. 59 minutes into the match, Chen Hai Zhi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kayhan Tancan. KUN SPORTS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chen Hai Zhi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Kayhan Tancan had great luck who in the 63rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Trevor Eubank from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Olofsson in the 96th minute of play forced KUN SPORTS's goalkeeper Kayhan Tancan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SK Mons supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SK Mons would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
