In the 13th minute of the match SAPI FC got a corner. Limoeiro-PE FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tito Rangkuti ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to SAPI FC's Sad Boy getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 17 minutes into the match, SAPI FC's goalkeeper Paijo Sutrisna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Neto. SAPI FC's Paijo Sutrisna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save SAPI FC from getting a goal against them. Daniël De Goeij showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bawang Merah, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Sad Boy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniël De Goeij took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bawang Merah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paijo Sutrisna made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Richard Neto sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SAPI FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Amir Khalid hit a great ball. Paijo Sutrisna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino do Valle in the 36th minute of play. Paijo Sutrisna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes, Ian Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Limoeiro-PE FC and the SAPI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Ian Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bawang Merah came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the SAPI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bawang Merah couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Doni Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Limoeiro-PE FC's Daniël De Goeij got control of the ball when Bawang Merah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Richard Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paijo Sutrisna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Daniël De Goeij had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bawang Merah. If Bawang Merah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bawang Merah came free, but Daniël De Goeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniël De Goeij came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by SAPI FC's Bawang Merah. But to his dismay, Bawang Merah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 73 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bawang Merah came free, but Daniël De Goeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bawang Merah in the 83rd minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Daniël De Goeij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Martinus Bachdim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Limoeiro-PE FC's Robert Lozovan was substituted for Richard Neto. Limoeiro-PE FC's Edgar Cabral was substituted for Gino do Valle. In the 88th minute Doni Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paijo Sutrisna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Tomás Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bawang Merah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bawang Merah got free with Daniël De Goeij in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute, Edgar Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paijo Sutrisna was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
