Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Mas in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almiro Benevides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Oscar Mas notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides. Almiro Benevides was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th minute, Oscar Mas made a precise shot to the right of Almiro Benevides. Stars Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Almiro Benevides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Élie Gaudron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Mas took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almiro Benevides. Almiro Benevides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Oscar Mas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Almiro Benevides. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almiro Benevides should have stopped the shot. After 36 minutes, Oscar Mas made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Raul Faria got a free kick in the 40th minute. Homero Brochado kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Oscar Mas might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Almiro Benevides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Mas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Mas in the 43rd minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Almiro Benevides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Homero Brochado kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 64th play minutes Oscar Mas shot 0-9, a short shot which went by Almiro Benevides and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Stars Academy booed when Şamaxı Bankirlər was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Mas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Oscar Mas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almiro Benevides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match, Ruy Faria tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Almiro Benevides saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Oscar Mas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-14 in the 96th playminute. When the match was over Şamaxı Bankirlər could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stars Academy throughout the match.
