After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Rodolfo Egoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Almiro Benevides. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almiro Benevides should have stopped the shot. In the 8th minute, Segundo Ucieda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almiro Benevides was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 12 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Egoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Almiro Benevides. Stars Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodolfo Egoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. If Hans Falck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almiro Benevides came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario Central's Rodolfo Egoi. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Egoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 24 minutes into the game, Segundo Ucieda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Almiro Benevides was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Placido Gartzea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Almiro Benevides was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 30th minute Hans Falck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almiro Benevides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Stars Academy got a freekick which was hit by Abílio Barata. Placido Gartzea took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almiro Benevides. Almiro Benevides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After 38 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Ucieda. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Alvaro Urre successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Almiro Benevides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Gartzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

A collision led to Stars Academy getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Alexandre Infante hit a great ball. Rosario Central's Placido Gartzea got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Placido Gartzea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosario Central fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. In the 60th minute of the match, Rodolfo Egoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Almiro Benevides saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 71 minutes, Segundo Ucieda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario Central's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Ucieda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rosario Central booed when Stars Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Camacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosario Central's Prudencio Eleder got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Camacho during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Segundo Ucieda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Almiro Benevides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Gartzea scored 0-10 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almiro Benevides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Alexandre Infante got a free kick in the 89th minute. When the final whistle sounded Rosario Central left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stars Academy.
