A collision led to Newpi Academy getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Cornelio Guerrero hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Placido Gartzea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Gartzea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Textex breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eulalio Otsando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Alvaro Urre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Guerrero in the 13th minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Alvaro Urre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Placido Gartzea could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Richard Textex however easily saved by the left post. In the 21stth minute of the game Alberto Tonete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Central's Alvaro Urre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Segundo Ucieda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Textex read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute Alberto Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Urre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Lauren kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Ucieda in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Perrando came free, but Alvaro Urre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Newpi Academy booed when Rosario Central was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Txartiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Guerrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute Alberto Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Urre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Antonio Perrando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Urre was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Tonete made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Antonio Perrando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvaro Urre was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. After 51 minutes, Antonio Perrando made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Rosario Central's Alvaro Urre tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alvaro Urre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Perrando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Rosario Central's Segundo Ucieda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Textex made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Egoi in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Textex prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richard Textex didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Egoi went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After 72 minutes of play, Rosario Central's Placido Gartzea made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Textex was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximino Txerran kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. When Rodolfo Egoi fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario Central's protests and gave Rodolfo Egoi a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Tonete received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alvaro Urre came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Tonete slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 77th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Newpi Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Egoi came free, but Richard Textex reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosario Central's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Prudencio Eleder in the 85th minute. Rosario Central's Placido Gartzea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Richard Textex in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 85 minutes, Placido Gartzea made it 5-3 with a short kick to the right side. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alvaro Urre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tonete in the 91st minute. In the 92ndth minute of the game Placido Gartzea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newpi Academy's Richard Textex was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Newpi Academy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
