Spectators: 7486 (Terracing: 5615, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andrei Ivan started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Stars Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Infante to maneuver through the defense. Andrei Ivan scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almiro Benevides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Almiro Benevides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Ubarna in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amado Leite during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Amado Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Almiro Benevides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Romo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match RED DEVIL got a corner. Stars Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrei Ivan ran over to the corner to take the kick. RED DEVIL's Andrei Ivan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Almiro Benevides in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Almiro Benevides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Flores in the 13th minute of play. Ruben Ubarna kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Stars Academy's Homero Brochado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ali Cafer Konuralp. Ali Cafer Konuralp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Almiro Benevides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Flores, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Tomás Romo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almiro Benevides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrei Ivan scored 1-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almiro Benevides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Almiro Benevides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Ivan in the 25th minute of the match. Tomás Romo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Andrei Ivan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Almiro Benevides. Stars Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrei Ivan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 39th minute, Serafino Flores made a precise shot to the right of Almiro Benevides. Stars Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Tomás Romo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Almiro Benevides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almiro Benevides didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruben Ubarna went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amado Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ruben Ubarna fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RED DEVIL's protests and gave Ruben Ubarna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, RED DEVIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Ubarna to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides got control of the ball when Astor Leoiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafino Flores's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Almiro Benevides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Ruben Ubarna hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The supporters of RED DEVIL booed when Stars Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Fagundes didn't get a good kick on the ball. RED DEVIL's Fernando Barreiros was substituted for Andrei Ivan. In the 77th minute, Cândido Fagundes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Barreiros took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almiro Benevides. Almiro Benevides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. In the 84th minute, RED DEVIL's Ruben Ubarna dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. In the 88th minute, Tomás Romo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 91 minutes of play, RED DEVIL's Fernando Barreiros made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Almiro Benevides was left in no man's land by his defense there! 94 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Ubarna came free, but Almiro Benevides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over RED DEVIL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stars Academy throughout the match.
