The supporters of FS Elite booed when Esquadrão Lusitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Esiquio didn't get a good kick on the ball. FS Elite's Adrian Albom shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vítor Damas but with some difficulty. In the 7th minute Raul Sabrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Falck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes FS Elite got a freekick which was hit by Du Lin. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by FS Elite's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tạ Bom was slow to take the kick. During this time Esquadrão Lusitano's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Esquadrão Lusitano's Tạ Bom to fire away a dangerous shot which Tommy Falck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kent Åkerström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Vítor Damas made a huge save. FS Elite's Du Lin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 24th match minute, FS Elite was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teta Clack to maneuver through the defense. Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Esquadrão Lusitano from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute, Raul Sabrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Esquadrão Lusitano defense, Kent Åkerström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Damas. The Esquadrão Lusitano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Damas should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Machado in the 34th minute of play forced FS Elite's goalkeeper Tommy Falck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Kent Åkerström made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Damas. Esquadrão Lusitano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Kent Åkerström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Vítor Damas made a huge save. FS Elite's Tommy Falck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Machado in the 45th minute of play. Nicholas Huguet tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Tommy Falck. An unnecessary self made goal, 4-1 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Du Lin to make the kick off. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Brett Fazey hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Adrian Albom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vítor Damas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Luís Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes of play, FS Elite's Du Lin made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vítor Damas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Esquadrão Lusitano's Rui Sá was substituted for Cândido Machado. Esquadrão Lusitano made a substitution. Maurício Carreira replaced Raul Sabrosa. Vítor Damas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Du Lin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Esquadrão Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Du Lin came free, but Vítor Damas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Esquadrão Lusitano's Rui Sá got a free kick in the 81st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Du Lin in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Damas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 97th minute Rui Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Falck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FS Elite's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
