The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Asso Kraav hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gugu de Mendonça came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dário Viana could save by the left post. Egon Markusson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Gugu de Mendonça succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. Gugu de Mendonça did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Dário Viana 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Squall FC's zone, Gugu de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dário Viana came out of the goal and Gugu de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Gugu de Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Viana was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 26th minute, Arí da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gugu de Mendonça got free with Dário Viana in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, Squall FC's goalkeeper Dário Viana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu de Mendonça. Dário Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Dário Viana throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gugu de Mendonça in the 31stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gugu de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Road To Glory's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 played minutes Road To Glory got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Gaspard. 36 minutes into the match, Squall FC's Nildo do Valle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Gugu de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Road To Glory's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gugu de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dário Viana having to make a save. Carlos Alberto Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Rogelio Abeita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Dário Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evandro Pombal was the one to do the kick off. Gugu de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dário Viana having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, Gugu de Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dário Viana. Squall FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gugu de Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Dário Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu de Mendonça in the 64th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gugu de Mendonça in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dário Viana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rogelio Abeita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dário Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Tião Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Squall FC and the Road To Glory players grew even worse after the yellow card. Road To Glory's Haroldo Tonio was substituted for Gugu de Mendonça. In a very dangerous position, a player in Squall FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Road To Glory. Egon Markusson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dário Viana. 5-0. Dário Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Abeita, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Tonio in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dário Viana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Squall FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Road To Glory the free kick. The supporters of Road To Glory booed when Squall FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Tonio in the 95th minute of play forced Squall FC's goalkeeper Dário Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Road To Glory were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Squall FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gao Xing Zhen took the corner.
