Yan Rezende went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Chicão Meirelles managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Humberto Cabral hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Du Song Lin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
