Lionel-Andrés Messi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Alberto Andreola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tomás Clodio took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Andreola. Alberto Andreola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Valdieri's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Alberto Andreola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdieri's Alberto Andreola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 26th minute of play. A throw-in in the 28th minute of the game was made by Elia Mascitti with Edoardo Rinaldi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Tomás Clodio took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Alberto Andreola to make any attempt to save it. 36 minutes into the match, Valdieri's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Alberto Andreola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Lionel-Andrés Messi could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Alberto Andreola however easily saved by the left post. In the 42nd minute, Valdieri's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lionel-Andrés Messi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sylwester Chazon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Cabrini in the 44th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Clodio in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Andreola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Tomás Clodio came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Pretoria Gostyń fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Clodio couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute Lionel-Andrés Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Andreola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 played minutes Valdieri got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Stefano. After a defensive mix-up in Valdieri's zone, Lionel-Andrés Messi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Andreola came out of the goal and Lionel-Andrés Messi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Tomás Clodio sped through Valdieri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alberto Andreola. If Beniamin Makarewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lionel-Andrés Messi scored 6-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Andreola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pretoria Gostyń's Jerzy Krzynowek quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cosimo Avesani, made in the 73rd minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, Tomás Clodio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Andreola. Valdieri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás Clodio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Alberto Andreola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Alberto Andreola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Dennis Berardo's late challenge caught a Pretoria Gostyń's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Berardo helped the player get up and apologised. Dennis Berardo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the game, Pretoria Gostyń's Lionel-Andrés Messi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Andreola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Lukasz Rekawiczka might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Andreola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lukasz Rekawiczka ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Clodio took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Andreola. Alberto Andreola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. After 93 minutes of play, Pretoria Gostyń's Lukasz Rekawiczka made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Andreola was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pretoria Gostyń's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
