Ruud Schautens hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The supporters of Invictus FC booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Marc Buisson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Jean-Marc Buisson got a free kick in the 8th minute. Gustave Souchu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sean Mallecots showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Invictus FC's attentive Alexander Hendrickx managed to snatch the ball when Jean-Marc Buisson made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. Sean Mallecots blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustave Souchu having to make a save. 14 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Mallecots came free, but Gustave Souchu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustave Souchu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Mallecots, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octaaf Van der Meiren kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Invictus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Toader came free, but Eddy Stoorms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sean Mallecots blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustave Souchu having to make a save. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Mallecots in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Mihail Toader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Stoorms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddy Stoorms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrille Melon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Marc Buisson made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Invictus FC's Alexander Hendrickx. Renan Bouzat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cyrille Melon to make the kick off. Gustave Souchu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Mallecots in the 57th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Invictus FC's Octaaf Van der Meiren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustave Souchu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Invictus FC's Maxwell van Beek managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jean-Marc Buisson in the 66 minute of the game. Gustave Souchu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Mallecots in the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Invictus FC booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Abrego didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Emilio Abrego got a free kick in the 74th minute. After taking down the ball on Invictus FC's corner Rafet Şikel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustave Souchu quite easily take care of the ball. Invictus FC made a substitution. Qian Yu Ao replaced Ruud Schautens. In the 82nd minute R.C. Marseille were awarded a corner. Renan Bouzat went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on R.C. Marseille's corner Renan Bouzat fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eddy Stoorms quite easily take care of the ball. Gustave Souchu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Mallecots in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Renan Bouzat got a free kick in the 85th minute. Sean Mallecots might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustave Souchu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sean Mallecots ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, Invictus FC could leave the field as winners, despite R.C. Marseille having more of the ball for most of the match.
