The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiburones Rojos were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Haridades F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frutos Macedo took the corner. Ronaldinho Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Rigoberto Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Haridades F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tiburones Rojos were winning 0-1.
