The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the game, Válbson de Alcântara lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Teodoro Meireles. After some careless play in the Bandeirinha AD defense, Válbson de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodoro Meireles. The Bandeirinha AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodoro Meireles should have stopped the shot. In the 38th minute, Xie Ao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bandeirinha AD's Teodoro Meireles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Bandeirinha AD from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Yuri Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Motta Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Motta Futebol Clube's Válbson de Alcântara looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Válbson de Alcântara made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Bandeirinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson de Alcântara came free, but Teodoro Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute Válbson de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válbson de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Xie Ao blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Meireles having to make a save. 65 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's Válbson de Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Meireles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teodoro Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bandeirinha AD getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Renato Velloso hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute Válbson de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Gláuber Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teodoro Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson de Alcântara in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Lu Ladron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Meireles. Bandeirinha AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lu Ladron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. When the referee ended the match the Motta Futebol Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
