But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jochen Schaer couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, FC ARK CS's Edgar Lang dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 24 played minutes FC ARK CS got a freekick which was hit by Arne Söderqwist. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jochen Schaer in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Joey saved FC ARK CS from getting behind. In the 27th minute Sammy Corcoran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrick Zeier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jochen Schaer in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Joey saved FC ARK CS from getting behind. Nicolas Joey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jochen Schaer's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Tarada's Jochen Schaer got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jochen Schaer in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolas Joey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Jochen Schaer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Tarada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederik Strzelczyk to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, Tizian Lengen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC ARK CS the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tarada fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tarada made a substitution. Florian Walther replaced Piotrek Zielinski. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
