Rui Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Eladio in the 12th minute of play. Martin Rito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Sal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Gustavo Eladio notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Atlético Zelaya's Rui Santos. Rui Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Atlético Zelaya booed when C. A. BELGRANO's Martin Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Abechuco in the 54th minute of play. Atlético Zelaya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Onur Ali Cespan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Onur Ali Cespan might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Onur Ali Cespan ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the match, Atlético Zelaya's goal looked a bit too open when Onur Ali Cespan came free, but Rui Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Alfonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Santos having to interfere. Alejo Abadia hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the game, Onur Ali Cespan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Rui Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 95 played minutes Atlético Zelaya got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Gombal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C. A. BELGRANO fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético Zelaya had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
