The referee ignored Saint Etienne FC's protests and gave Vladimiro Oriche a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC ARK CS booed when Saint Etienne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Corcoran made a great header on FC ARK CS's corner, it was just that Saint Etienne FC's Claudio Normando managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Edgar Lang took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Claudio Normando to make any attempt to save it. Claudio Normando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Lang in the 32nd minute of play. But to his dismay, Júlio Severo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. In the 78th minute, Bryan White hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Enekoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Júlio Severo scored 10-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Normando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
