Osvaldo Shantala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jiang Lei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's Florencio Cordarryl made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emerson Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Raimundo Obano fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's protests and gave Raimundo Obano a yellow card for diving instead.
