To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ma Wen Bo in the 27th minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Ma Wen Bo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flores AC's Amado Cortez got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Amado Cortez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flores AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Atlanta the free kick. After 34 played minutes Flores AC got a freekick which was hit by Amado Cortez. Ma Wen Bo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Guimarães having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Ma Wen Bo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Flores AC booed when C. A. Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Hever didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Constantino Bertol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 86th minute of the match Flores AC got a corner. C. A. Atlanta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ma Wen Bo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ma Wen Bo in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodoro Primo, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ma Wen Bo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Tony Guimarães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ma Wen Bo. In the 97th minute of the match, Ma Wen Bo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tony Guimarães saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded Flores AC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C. A. Atlanta.
