Tony Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Atlanta's zone, Ronaldão Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Guimarães came out of the goal and Ronaldão Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiago Gabriel Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Gabriel Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. Tony Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tiago Gabriel Vieira sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Kristian Beckenbauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the game, Kristian Beckenbauer landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 22 minutes, Iker Dolfos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Atlanta and the Guará FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iker Dolfos kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. When Iker Dolfos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. The supporters of Guará FC booed when C. A. Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Dolfos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Tiago Gabriel Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guará FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Gabriel Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th match minute, C. A. Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Manex to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Zé Pedro Baiano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tony Guimarães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erlingur Haaland got free with Tony Guimarães in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Tony Guimarães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 38 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Primo. In the 42nd minute Constantino Bertol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Gabriel Vieira got free with Tony Guimarães in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the match, Guará FC's Tiago Gabriel Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantino Bertol to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner was taken by Zé Pedro Baiano in the 69th minute. After taking down the ball on Guará FC's corner Zé Pedro Baiano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tony Guimarães quite easily take care of the ball. Federico Gil charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Gil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 73 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Baiano came free, but Tony Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes, Apolo Artizar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Atlanta and the Guará FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Apolo Artizar hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Constantino Bertol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Nelsinho Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Gabriel Vieira in the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Gabriel Vieira in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel Vieira in the 93rd minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Tiago Gabriel Vieira sped through C. A. Atlanta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tony Guimarães. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Guará FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while C. A. Atlanta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
