The coaching staff of Verwachting protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leendert Dekker had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Verwachting fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Verwachting:s Herbert Hilhorst showed great skill when he stopped Sándor Markovits:s penalty. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Twan Hesseling made a kick off. Germán Bersabe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd match minute, Berkshire Harthaway FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sándor Markovits to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 54 minutes, Twan Hesseling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verwachting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Twan Hesseling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charles De Meur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud Geels in the 56th minute of the match. Ruud Geels took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles De Meur. Charles De Meur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Twan Hesseling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles De Meur having to interfere. Charles De Meur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud Geels in the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Berkshire Harthaway FC.'s zone, Ruud Geels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles De Meur came out of the goal and Ruud Geels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
