Christijan Schreuder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Tony Guimarães made a huge save. C. A. Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Verwachting's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teodoro Primo took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Evaristo Rosio advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Twan Hesseling in the 14th minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute C. A. Atlanta were awarded a corner. Teodoro Primo went to the cornerflag to take it. After 28 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Hever. C. A. Atlanta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Christijan Schreuder scored to the left of an out of position Tony Guimarães, making the score, 2-1. Herbert Hilhorst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Primo in the 38th minute of the match. In the 38thth minute of the game Teodoro Primo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

51 minutes into the game, Twan Hesseling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verwachting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Atlanta the free kick. In the 51st minute, Twan Hesseling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Guimarães came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Verwachting's Ruud Geels. But to his dismay, Ruud Geels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Besart Toto hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Tony Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud Geels in the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C. A. Atlanta defense, Christijan Schreuder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Guimarães. The C. A. Atlanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Guimarães should have stopped the shot. Twan Hesseling scored 5-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Guimarães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iker Dolfos kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Leendert Dekker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christijan Schreuder in the 80th minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud Geels, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. C. A. Herbert Hilhorst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Atlanta. Verwachting's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
