In the 39th minute, Ronaldão Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnulfo Polentzi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Eusébio Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Ma Wen Bo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nelsinho Nascimento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nelsinho Nascimento came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Flores AC's Ma Wen Bo. But to his dismay, Ma Wen Bo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ma Wen Bo might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelsinho Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ma Wen Bo ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ma Wen Bo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Guará FC's Lachezar Dzhevov got a free kick in the 55th minute. Henrique Ribeiro hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ma Wen Bo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flores AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ma Wen Bo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
