Gonzo Style f.c's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavio De Matteis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gonzo Style f.c's Lucas Savenije played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Josefsson in the 52nd minute of play. The attack was good, but when Jim Håkansson in the 53rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With an all-out effort, Haymakers FC's Lucas Savenije threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kurt Ahlbeck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 59th minute of the match Haymakers FC got a corner. Gonzo Style f.c's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johannes Kvarnström ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Antico during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Haymakers FC's Niclas Hermansson was substituted for Sven-Olof Blomkvist. The supporters of Haymakers FC booed when Gonzo Style f.c was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Antico didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Gonzo Style f.c's Lucas Savenije got control of the ball when Roger Pil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haymakers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jim Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Savenije breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 played minutes Haymakers FC got a freekick which was hit by Niclas Hermansson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Håkansson in the 85th minute of play forced Gonzo Style f.c's goalkeeper Lucas Savenije to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Haymakers FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Niclas Hermansson hit a great ball. Kurt Ahlbeck might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucas Savenije. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Ahlbeck ran back to his position shaking his head. Haymakers FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
