Uraricuera EC's Chiquinho Peres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Uraricuera EC from getting a goal against them. Chiquinho Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sandberg in the 8th minute of play. Måns Sandberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chiquinho Peres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 13th minute Måns Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Safet Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Gonçalves in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Uraricuera EC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Lebron came free, but Chiquinho Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norrlands Athen's Safet Hands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Gonçalves in the 23rd minute of play. Chiquinho Peres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Huang Fei Ting in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Munhoz in the 27th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Uraricuera EC booed when Norrlands Athen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olo Hajs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe da Fonseca hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Chiquinho Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Lebron in the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Norrlands Athen's zone, Pedro Munhoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Safet Hands came out of the goal and Pedro Munhoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, Pedro Munhoz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Norrlands Athen's Safet Hands. Safet Hands was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Munhoz made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Uraricuera EC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Lebron came free, but Chiquinho Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute of the match Norrlands Athen got a corner. Uraricuera EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filcho Slivkov ran over to the corner to take the kick. Norrlands Athen's Filcho Slivkov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Chiquinho Peres in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rafa da Costa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Chiquinho Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sandberg in the 59th minute of play. When Måns Sandberg came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Norrlands Athen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Måns Sandberg couldn't finish the play. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Gilbert Hermansson replaced Måns Sandberg. Norrlands Athen's Calle Bergfelt was substituted for Urbano Fidencio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Munhoz in the 67th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huang Fei Ting in the 68th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Norrlands Athen's Calle Bergfelt made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiquinho Peres was left in no man's land by his defense there! 72 minutes into the match, Calle Bergfelt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chiquinho Peres. Uraricuera EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calle Bergfelt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kephalos Gomatos in the 78th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Uraricuera EC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Glauco Aparecido hit a great ball. If Gilbert Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chiquinho Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Hermansson in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Uraricuera EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sydney de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Filcho Slivkov sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Uraricuera EC's Chiquinho Peres didn't even have to move. In the 90th minute Gilbert Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
